The aims of this research are to analyze the impact of modern retail on the profitability level of traditional market traders in Bekasi. The market selection is done by purposive sampling method. Jatiasih Market and Family Mart Market are selected as treatment group and Bantargebang Market is selected as control group. The methods using in this study are t-test, chi-square test, and ordinal logistic regression. Factors influencing changes of profit are the number of buyers, the distance between the traditional market with the modern retail, the main commodity of fresh products and processed products.
