The principle of water balance is the relationship between total water inflow and water outflow that can occur in a watershed (DAS). The objectives of this study were to analyze the water balance based on capacity of ground water reservoir in the Brantas watershed and to solve deficit and surplus water problemes in the Brantas watershed. The result showed that groundwater storage in June until September was deficit because from June until September was the dry season periode. That is because the flow of water entering the soil layer will be the base flow (base flow), and the streams that will fill the river network system. The flow of water entering the river during the dry season in small quantities, so there is drought in the dry season. Efforts to do is to recharge wells made in order to increase the amount of water that entered and stored in the soil.
