dc.description.abstractAuxiliary heater on GHE-Hybrid heating instrument is one of important part in heating process. Heat loss on the system can affect heating process. The aim of this research is to find water heating system efficiency and effectiveness of the heat exchanger, and determine the mathematical model of energy balance on drying stove system by analyzing heat transfer occured on auxiliary heater. Based on result, efficiency on water heating system and stove was 52-56 %, the highest heat loss on inlet air in the stove was 1800-2525 watt. The average of the effectiveness of the HE1 and HE2 respectively were 0.35 and 0.65, while the value of NTU respectively were 0.42 and 1.21. This estimation of simulation modeling can be applied, indicated by error of 5%. Base on the heat transfer analysis, stove and water heating system yield the highest heat loss, so auxiliary heater system need to be modified, such as: by adding the cover stove, expanding HE2 heat transfer area, increasing pump power and fan, and increasing biomass input rate.en
