dc.description.abstractTransporting live fish is an operation that should be designed to minimize stress with anesthetic. Natural anesthetic material on immotilization of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) is nut grass. The purpose of this research was to determine the optimal of nut grass crude extract on immotilization of common carp and survival rate, which observed the water quality analysis, periode of immotilization, and blood glucose content. Extract concentration which we used at 2%, 3%, 4% 5%, and 6% (b/v). The best concentrated has 5% with immotilization time 10.45 and recovery time 11.15. The common carp that kept for unconscious at 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 minutes and 150, 180, 210 minutes in 8°C water temperature has passed survival rate 100%. Recovery time on 150, 180, and 210 minutes was 4.14; 4.49; 6.35. The blood glucose is increasing after anesthesia treatment.en
