dc.description.abstract | Feed is one of main factor which play role to increase growth performance of eels. Besides the high feed protein (40-50%) needed from the contain of eel’s feed, source of raw material protein is determine the eel’s feed quality. The purpose of this study is to get out the best raw material of protein source for an optimal growth performance of yellow eels with moist feed. This study was performed in eight aquariums which have measurement of 90x50x40 cm3 in 120 liters/aquarium of water. Eels at yellow eel stage in 111,25 ± 0,95 gram of body weight were used. There are four treatments in this study consisted of commercial feed, feed with baby shrimp meal as main protein source, imported fish meal, and combination from local fish meal, baby shrimp meal, and imported fish. The result showed that the feed with imported fish meal is the best treatment. Survival rate of all treatments were 100% and the feed conversion rate are 3,00; 3,01; 2,96; and 3,24. There’s no significant difference in daily growth of all treatments where the value are 0,68 ± 0,18%; 0,46 ± 0,06%; 0,58 ± 0,10%, and 0,31 ± 0,07%. Protein and lipid retention rate of the best treatment are 22,30% and 603,82% respectively. | en |
