Title: Studi Potensi Lanskap Sejarah Suku Kerinci di Provinsi Jambi

Abstract: Kerinci Clan is one of the oldest clan that has many historical relics in Jambi Province. However, not all such relics are managed properly. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the scope and the characteristic of historical landscape, analyze the potencial historical landscape and factors that influence the sustainability of historical landscape and propose the landscape management recommendations of historical landscape. This study used survey method, historic information searching, interview, questionnaire, and descriptive and spatial analysis. As a result, there were thirty relics of Kerinci clan that were spread in Sungai Penuh City and Kerinci Distric reflect the characteristics of the element/landscape Kerinci Clan in the ancient period and the Islamic period. Significance value analysis resulted seven relics with high value, sixteen relics with medium value, and seven relics with low value. The above analysis results were used in SWOT analysis to define landscape management strategies. The proposed recommendations are to improved conservation management, to provide conservation policy and community empowerment, and to increase stakeholders collaboration.
