Rencana Pengelolaan Lanskap Pertanian Desa Pangulah Utara, Kecamatan Kota Baru, Kabupaten Karawang, Jawa Barat, sebagai Sarana Bermain Anak-Anak

Abstract

Play is a need for children to learn how to socialize and develop their creativities. Agricultural landscape of Desa Pangulah Utara has a potential that could be developed as a children playground facility. The open space can be exploited as a mean to support play activities. The purpose of this research is to create a management plan of agricultural landscape of Desa Pangulah Utara, Kecamatan Kota Baru, Kabupaten Karawang, Jawa Barat, as a means of children playing and helps children to learn how to socialize and interact with their environment, also to introduce more about Sundanese traditional games. Data that used in this research consists of physical, biophysical, social, and managerial data. These data were analyzed descriptively, statistically, and by means of SWOT method. The results of SWOT analysis are six recomendation of management strategies of Desa Pangulah Utara as a mean of children playground: (1) providing the facilities that supporting children to play especially to play Sundanese traditional games, (2) providing play areas, (3) making the playing program that can increase the interest of children about Sundanese traditional games, (4) using local vegetation as materials of Sundanese traditional games, (5) making landscape management plan of agricultural landscape of Desa Pangulah Utara as children playground, and (6) specifying the areas that used as childreen playground without changing its function.
