Abstract: Batur sheep wool can be used as handicraft with high economic value. All this time, during the processing of turning wool into handicraft, syntetic color is still used. Syntetic color has side effects to both health and environment. The aim of this research was to study Batur sheep wool quality given natural dyes treatment. The measured variables consisted of water absorbance, dimensional stability, color intensity, and color fade resistance. Repetition was done 3 times to observe water absorbance, dimension stability, color intensity, and color fade resistance. Data were analyzed using T-test. Result showed that comparison between natural and synthetic dyes in water absorbance and shrinkage of Batur sheep wool were not significantly different (P>0.05). Color intensity showed that wool given natural dyes treatment appeared darker than wool given synthetic dyes. Color fade resistance of wool given yellow natural dyes is the best from the other
