The important factors that affect fish seed productivity are quality of brood fish and rearing management of the seed, especially at the early phase. The research was conducted to evaluate survival rate and growth catfish fry produced by different size of brood fish and that fed on different type of early fish feed. There were two size category ofthe brood fish, namely small (S ,weight of 0,8-1,0/fish) and large (L, 1,5kg/fish). This research used 4 treatments that were larvae from the small brood fish were fed on Artemia nauplii (Treatment KA) or fed on Tubifex larvae (KC), larvae from the large brood fish were fed on Artemia nauplii (BA) or fed on Tubifex larvae (BC). The larvae were fed on the early feed as long 4 days, and after that all fish fed on Tubifex until end of the rearing periods (17days). The researsh showed that survival rate of catfish fry that came from different size of brood fish and that fed on different type of early fish feed was not different, whereas the growth rate fry came from large brood fish and that fed on either Artemia or Tubifex (BA and BC) were higher than the others.en
