dc.description.abstractOne of the activities of economy, like an industrial activity may reduce the level of environmental quality. The study of the estimation of both external cost and public compensation (WTA), the effects toward environment caused by industrial activities is needed to achieve sustainable development. The objectives of this study are to identify the negative externality effect of the industry activity, to estimate economic losses and WTA value caused by industrial activities, and to identify the factors that influence WTA value. This paper presents explores the descriptive analysis, valuation of environmental economics, and application of Contingent Valuation Methods (CVM). The result shows that the economic loss of each household per month is IDR 125,716.67 and the average values of household’s WTA per month is IDR 497,674.42. There are seven factors those influence WTA value significantly such as age, gender, income, economic loss caused by replacement cost, education level, the distance between houses and industry area, and economic loss caused by medical cost.en
