Abstract: Small businesses, especially those engaged in the field of food and beverages have limitations in producing halal and safety products. They require a simple design of manual that corresponds to small business processes. The objectives of this research are to obtain manual that fulfill food safety system and halal assurance system requirements, and implementing the manual in small business. This research is done by identifying primary data, business process, composing manual, implementation, and making improvement. Aspects contained in the design of integrated manual are halal policy statment, management team, materials, products, production facilities, hygiene and health of employees, tracebility, and operational procedures which consist of training, internal auditing, and management review. Based on research data, the aspects related to halal assurance system can be implemented as a whole. Aspects related to how food safety system; products, production facilities, and hygiene and health of employees can be implemented partially. Proposed improvements are given to UKM Faza Group such as; product sample delivery to BPOM for testing quality control of microbiological, physical, and chemical, improvement of production facilities in accordance with the guidelines of food safety system, as well as the fulfillment of employee hygiene is completed by a team of management.
