Keragaan Pertumbuhan Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L. merr.) di PT Sungai Menang, Maluku Tengah, Maluku

Abstract

PT Sungai Menang is a company engaged in agriculture with agriculture commodity maize is the main crop . Maize plantations is located in Seram Island Central Maluku regency , Maluku . One of the main problems in the garden Seram is the low population of growing plants,which reached over to 29.53%. The Germination Rate (GR) of 10 varieties of hybrid maize seeds could be > 80%. The lowest GR was found at Bisi-816 85.3 % and the highest is the P-27 and NK-33 is equal to 97.3 %. The experiments were conducted to see the growing seed maize by combining faktor planting depth , water consumption and soil aggregate size . The result showed that maize growth influence by planting depth and water consumption. Highest percentage of maize growth for 2 weeks seedling time was found at palnting depth 7.5 cm and 10 cm with 30 mm of water consumption.
