dc.description.abstractPeasant resistance arise as a result of agrarian structures of inequality in rural areas. One form of the peasant resistance is the staged re-claiming land on displaced lands in the land ex-HGU company. This is consistent with the case of re-claiming land ex-HGU PTPN VIII Dayeuh Manggung performed by the peasant at the Local Farmer Organizations (OTL) Sukamukti, Garut. This study focuses on how the organization of reclaim influent the new socio-economic conditions society post re-claiming. The socio-economic conditions of post re-claiming include land redistribution, the institutional arrangement of the products and the development of basic infrastructure. This study examined the relationship between the order of the new socio-economic conditions of post reclaiming with the level of welfare of farmers which seen from the two aspects of subjective and objective. The results showed that the new socio-economic conditions of post reclaiming have a very strong relationship with the level of subjective well-being of peasant, and also has a strong relationship with the objective welfare of peasant in OTL Sukamukti.en
