Ketersediaan dan Kebutuhan Alat Berat Pemanenan Kayu pada Salah Satu Izin Usaha Pemanfaatan Hutan Alam di Kalimantan Timur

Abstract

The proper determination of harvesting equipment needs to improve effectivity and efficiently of harvesting activity. The purpose of this study are to determine the member of harvesting equipment needs and compare with the avaibility in IUPHHK-HA PT Ratah Timber East Borneo for provide information to determine the harvesting equipment needs. The method was by measuring each harvesting processes work time and volume in order to calculate harvesting productivity. The productivity was 12.73 m3/hour for felling, 13.64 m3/hour for skidding, 151.66 m3/hour for loading, 26.38 m3/hour for hauling and 207.01 m3/hour for unloading. The equipment needs for each activities were 4 units of chainsaw for felling, 4 units of bulldozer for skidding, 1 unit of wheel loader for loading, 2 units of logging truck for hauling and 1 unit of wheel loader for unloading. Based on the result, that was 9 units of chainsaw exceed for felling, 7 units of bulldozer exceed for skidding, 3 units logging truck exceed for hauling and 1 unit of wheel loader exceed for unloading. The loading equipment avaibility was suit the equipment needs that was 1 unit of wheel loader.
