dc.description.abstractEmployee Competency is one of the factor required by firm to improve the competitiveness for its rival. Knowledge management is one of the activities that can improve employee competency. The purposes of this research were to know employees‟ perception about implementation of knowledge management and its impact in improving employee competency at PT Pupuk Kaltim. This research used analysis of multiple linear regression and processed by SPSS 16.0 and Microsoft Excel 2010. The result regression analysis showed that knowledge management is effectively done by firm and employee competency increase well after following knowledge management. The result of regression analysis showed that knowledge management jointly influence the employee competency and transferring knowledge and reuse knowledge were the variable that partially influence on employee competency.en
