Abstract: Cashew crop production is influenced by climate, one of which is by precipitation. This research was conducted to study the effect of rainfall variability in cashew crop production in Muna, Southeast Sulawesi and Wonogiri, Central Java, which are the center of cashew crop production in Indonesia. The results of the analysis in this study concluded that the rainfall anomalies are negatively correlated with the productivity of cashew crop in the two districts. Thus, an increase in rainfall anomalies can lead to decreased productivity, and vice versa. Cross-correlation analysis showed the highest correlation between productivity to rainfall at the flowering period in August in Muna and March in Wonogiri. The relationship between rainfall and sea surface temperature anomalies in Niño 3.4 was highest occurred at lag 0 in Muna and at lag 2 in Wonogiri.
