dc.description.abstractGreenhouse is a building disigned and built to protect the plants from unfavorable environmental conditions. Design of greenhouse in tropics must be considered, so that air temperature in greenhouse are not too high. Simulation study of air temperature distribution is very important for basic design of greenhouse. The purpose of this research was to study and predict air flow pattern and temperature distribution in modified standard peak greenhouse. Parameters measured in this research were air temperature, solar radiation, air humidity, and wind speed. Data were recorded every 30 minutes, started from 06.00 am to 06.00 pm. Results showed that the highest air temperature occured in around the roof area, as influenced by chimney effect and greenhouse effect. Results also showed that air flowed from outside to inside greenhouse. It were caused by differences in air density. Validation results were 90% and errors less than 10% , so it can be concluded that simulated model was valid for environment greenhouse.en
