dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research was to analyze the relationship between values and personality and the expenditure allocation of retirement family. Samples of this research were the family with at least one family’s member aged over 55 years old and have retired from main occupation. The samples consisted of 154 family purposived selected from the different job backgrounds (goverment employee and non-goverment employee). The results showed that the higher value on financial security, it will reduce the proportion of expenditure on food and increase the proportion of non-food. Another findings indicate that the per capita income, number of dependents, age, and level of education have relationship with expenditure allocationsen
