Abstract: | The increasing of land conversion and land transition in Jakarta city make decreasing of land use for green open space. One of solution is create vertical greenery in the building`s wall. Bank BTPN is the one buildings which is has applying vertical greenery for every branch office in Indonesia. This study is for assessing benefits of vertical greenery in Bank BTPN which is use vegetation indicator, especialy for micro climate quality and aesthetic value. The study using two methode, there are observation and interview. The vegetation that is use in Bank BTPN is lee kwan yew (Vernonia elliptica). Bank BTPN has make vertical greenery in their 13 branch office in Jakarta. Analysis for each factor that influence micro climate and aesthetic quality are using Chi-Square statistic test. The number and density of vegetation have significantly effect for decrease in temperature and increase in humidity. The installation of vertical greenery in both sides 84.6% increase in humidity ≥ 10%. Density of vegetation 76 until 100% is 85.7% decrease in temperature ≥ 5°C, and increase in humidity ≥ 10% for a day. The aesthetic value from vertical greenery have big significantly effect for density of vegetation and leave colour. Intensity of treatment has significant effect for aesthetic value result. Intensity of treatment one week one day is 85.7% gives dark green colour (for the lee kwan yew plant) and density of vegetation 76 until 100%. |
