Development in Java Island can be done through the development of paddy with favorable specifications. Java as a base of rice producers have the capability and suitability of land that allows for the development of the agricultural sector. The results of the study of nuclear science and technology in agriculture is expected to contribute to increasing the productivity of the national rice. Rice varieties nuclear technology research results have been deployed in 18 districts in Java. But there has never been research on spatial distribution maps as well as the response of farmers to rice nuclear technology. To determine the role of rice spread of nuclear technology to developing areas in Java, set the following research objectives: (1) determine the distribution map of the area in the island of Java which has been planting rice nuclear technology research results. (2) determine the role of stakeholders in the dissemination of rice varieties nuclear technology research results. (3) determine the level of adoption of rice farmers to the research of nuclear technology. (4) determine the role of rice nuclear technology to the development of the region. (5) provides policy direction rice seed dispersal of nuclear technology. The analysis was performed by using GIS analysis, stakeholder analysis, response analysis, schallogram analysis, and SWOT analysis. Distribution of rice nuclear technology results in Java has covered 18 districts with a total area of planting began in 2007 was 6,800 ha. The district is Bandung, Bogor, Karawang, Lebak, Pandeglang, Serang, Banjarnegara, Brebes, Sleman, Bantul, Demak, Jepara, Kudus, Pati, Purbalingga, Rembang, Jember, and Malang. Rice grown nuclear technology results include varieties Yuwono, Mayang, Diah suci, Mira-1, Bestari, and Inpari Sidenuk. The area is most widely spread of Malang is 1060 ha, while the area is the smallest spread of Bogor district is 100 hectares. Stakeholder mapping results showed Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Brawijaya University, Malang has a great interest and a small influence, involvement only in terms of the implementation of the program in terms of deployment and authority to implement rules and policies. BATAN and Distanhut Bogor Regency has a great importance and influence, however, influence and interests BATAN higher than Distanhut. BATAN involvement from planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring / evaluation. Distanhut involvement in the spread of rice is in terms of organization and execution. Farmers in Malang and Bogor and seed providers / breeder has little importance and influence. Farmers and seed providers depend on the seed stocks of BATAN, these stakeholders do the breeding and spread of seed if available, if not available, the presence of seeds they will plant other varieties. The results of the analysis showed farmers repons spreaders in Malang district judge deployment Yuwono varieties, Diah Suci, Mira-1, Bestari, and Inpari Sidenuk better than local varieties. It can be seen from the farmer to plant sustainability of nuclear technology despite the implementation of co-operation has ended. Farmers in Malang district judge spreader rice nuclear technology over the relative benefits, more appropriate, and can easily see the results compared to local varieties. Similarly, farmers spreader Bogor assess varieties Mira-1 and Pandanputri better than local varieties. Rice development policy of nuclear technology in Java based on the results of the analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and Threats. The results of the analysis recommends to build partnerships with local government and private, to build a system availability of seeds, improving varieties that have been produced, and to provide guidance to farmers.en
