Efek Siaran Pedesaan dalam Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Petani pada Radio Pertanian Ciawi (RPC)

Abstract

Rural broadcasting at radio important to provide information to rural communities, especially farmers to increase their farming knowledge. This study aim to know the effects of rural broadcasts on radio in increasing farmer knowledge and what factors are correlated with an increased their knowledge. The results showed that rural broadcasts can provide high effect in increasing the knowledge of farmers. Internal factors respondents which have a correlation with an increase of their knowledge are age, education, mass media ownership, motivational listening, listening frequency, and length of listening. Broadcast material factors which are correlated with an increased knowledge of farmers is suitability of the duration of the broadcast, suitability of broadcast material, and style of delivery of the message. Station radio factors which are correlated with an increased knowledge of farmers is radio formats and the credibility of broadcaster.
