Abstract: Vegetables as one of the parts of the horticulture and have a business opportunity if managed properly. Vegetables is one of the organic agricultural products of environmental friendly nature and get closer to nature concept, so as to provide a good quality assurance compared to conventional vegetables. Besides having the advantages of environmentally friendly farming organic vegetables have a pretty big obstacle is the high level of risk, including the risk of production. The purpose of this study was to analyze the activities of specialization and develop alternative strategies commodity diversification by presenting the right combination to reduce the magnitude of the risk of farming in the specialization of activities. Meanwhile, the risk measure used include opportunities, expected return, variance, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation. The results of the analysis indicate that the specialization of activities Broccoli is a commodity with the lowest coefficient of variation is equal to 0.17. The combination of Broccoli and Carrots are the most diversified activities lower risk than other commodity combinations
