Title: Evaluasi Penggunaan Tepung Garut, Tepung Ubi Jalar dan Onggok sebagai Perekat Pellet Terhadap Persentase Bobot Karkas, Lemak Abdomen dan Organ Dalam Ayam Broiler

Abstract: The experiment was conducted to evaluation of the usage of garut flour, sweet potato, and onggok as pellet binder on percentage of carcass, abdominal fat and viscera of broiler chickens. Thirty two broilers were slaughtered from 240 Day Old Chiks were kept in litter house system for five weeks for this experiment. A Completely Randomized Design was used in this experiment with four treatments and four replications. The treatment diets were : A1 = the basal ration, A2 : A1 + 2% garut fluor, A3 = A1 + 2% sweat potato fluor and A4 = A1 + 2% onggok. The results showed that using of garut flour, sweet potato and onggok as pellet binder did not affect the persentage of carcass, abdominal fat and viscera of broiler chickens. The average of percentage of carcass weight, abdominal fat, heart, liver and gizzard in this experiment were 64.03%-64.41%, 0.87%-1.14%, 0.58%-0.61%, 2.53%-2.79% and 2.09%-2.20%. Conclusion of this research that treatments had not different effect on percentage of carcass weight, abdominal fat and viscera of broiler chicken.
Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan tepung garut, ubi jalar dan onggok sebagai perekat pellet terhadap persentase bobot karkas, lemak abdomen dan organ dalam ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan 32 ekor ayam broiler dari 240 ekor Day Old Chick yang dipelihara dalam kandang litter selama lima minggu. Analisis data menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: A1 = pakan basal, A2 : A1 + 2% tepung garut, A3 : A1 + 2% tepung ubi jalar dan A4 : A1 + 2% onggok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung garut, tepung ubi jalar dan onggok tidak mempengaruhi berat karkas, organ dalam dan lemak abdomen ayam broiler. Rata-rata persentase berat karkas, lemak abdomen, jantung, hati dan rempela pada penelitian ini adalah 64.03%-64.41%, 0.87%-1.14%. 0.58%-0.61%, 2.52%-2.79%, 2.09%-2.20%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan tidak memberikan pengaruh pada persentase berat karkas, lemak abdomen dan organ dalam ayam broiler.
