dc.description.abstract | One of the ways to improve the maize production is by effective and efficient fertilization. Improvement of the fertilizer efficiency is implemented by combination of organic, conventional and slow release fertilizer. The objective of this study was to examine the effect of a combination of organic fertilizer, conventional fertilizer, slow release fertilizer and time of application on the growth, nutrient content and production. The rates of organic fertilizer were without organik fertilizer (O0) and 2,5 ton/ha organic fertilizer (O1). The rates of conventional fertilizer were 50% of recommended rate (S1) and 100% of recommended rate (S2). The rates of slow release fertilizer were 1tablet/plant (P1), 2tablet/plant (P2) and 3 tablets/plant (P3) and the rate of application time were at 10 days after planting (T1) and application at 10 days after planting and 30 days after planting (T2). The results showed that the effect of single treatment, combination of the two and three treatments of organic fertilizer, conventional and slow release were significantly higher on the growth, nutrient content and crop production. The effect of four combinations namely organic fertilizer, conventional, slow release and application time was not significantly different on growth, nutrient content, and production. The highest production of dry grain obtained by combination of organic fertilizer, conventional fertilizer with 100% recommendation rate and slow release fertilizer with 3 tablets/plant with one application time (O1S2P3T1) namely 7.28 ton/ha. The production of dry grain on combination of organic fertilizer, conventional fertilizer with 50% of recommendation rate and slow release fertilizer with 3 tablet/plant with one application time (O1S1P3T1) as similiar to O1S2P3T1 namely 7.20 ton/ha. Based on the production of dry grain, application of slow release fertilizer with 3 tablet/plant reduced 50% of the conventional fertilizer use. | en |
