Lawsonia inermis L. known as henna in Indonesia is widely used as herbal medicinal plant to treat various diseases, including tuberculose. The objective of this research is to analyze combination of henna leaves extract activity against M. tuberculosis by evaluate the mininum inhibitory concentration (MIC). Dry leaves were macerated by using ethanol 96%. Then, the leaves went through filtration and evaporation process to gain concentrated extract. The extract was mixed with M. tuberculosis suspension and antibiotic solution at concentration of 10.000 ppm, 20.000 ppm, 40.000 ppm, 80.000 ppm and incubated 37oC. After two weeks the MIC of leaves extract and combination extract and antibiotic that inhibit the growth of M. tuberculosis was observed. The result showed MIC of henna leaves extract is 20.000 ppm, while MIC henna leaves extract and rifampicin 4.000 ppm less than 10.000 ppm. Combination of henna leaves extract and rifampisin treatment is more effective than extract treatment to kill M.tuberculosis.en
