Title: Kajian Eco-Aesthetics Green Panel pada Bangunan Rumah Tinggal

Abstract: Housing development in Indonesia has not implemented renewable energy resource efficiency yet. Electric energy consumption for building cooling using mechanical air refreshner like air conditioning has achieved level 65%. This cooling system was conducted to establish thermal comfort in house building. Actually, thermal comfort is not only created by modern technology, it could be established through natural element like plants. Main problem in city involves land limitation and raising of land economic value. Plant existence like green open space in urban area is difficult to be maintained. So, the alternative solution is to make plant acquision by verticulture techniques, for example green panel. Green panel has function as a secondary skin which protect building from direct solar radiation in order to create comfortable micro climate inside the building. The purpose of this research was to study eco-aesthetics green panel for house building. The meansurement of parameter are green panel distance of wall building and type of plant used. This research was conducted at a house building in Bogor. House orientation is North to South with main entrance at North. The Method of this research is experimental method with tested parameter in green panel. Tested parameter consists of green panel distance to wall building and type of plant used. Tested distance consists of three variable distance like 0 cm, 50 cm, and 100 cm. While, plant type which used are Althernantera sp., Arachis pintoi, Chlorophytum sp., Cuphea hyssopifolia, and Iresine herbstii. Based on distance position, the best distace of green panel palcement is 0 cm (adhered to wall). In this distance, room temperature decrease on maximum level, that is 0.42°C in indoor condition and 0.79°C in outdoor area. While based on plant type, the best ground cover combination to decrease room temperature are Cuphea hyssopifolia and Iresine herbstii. Reduction level of temperature lies at 0.65°C - 0.79°C in good weather condition. Both of these ground cover also have high quality beauty (aesthetics) by respondent evaluation. Refers to analysis result, green panel combination which best to be applied in house building scale are Cuphea hyssopifolia, and Iresine herbstii which placed on 0 cm from wall building. This combination have high eco-aesthetics quality based on eco-aesthetics classification.
