Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence, risk factor and parasitemia blood parasite based on age and sex category on cattle in Ujungjaya sub-district, Sumedang regency, West Java. Blood samples were collected from 139 cattle in July 2012. Thin blood smears were made on glass slide, fixed in methanol, stained with Giemsa 10% and observed using a microscope with 1000x magnifications. The amount of intraerythrocytic parasite counted for every 500 red blood cells. The potential of risk factor in regard with age, sex, ways to raise, flies and tick control were analyzed with chi-square. The result showed that the highest prevalence was observed in Anaplasma sp. (38.8%), followed by Babesia sp. (33.8%), and Theileria sp. (22.3%). The prevalence of babesiosis and anaplasmosis are influenced by age and ways to raise (p<0.05), while theileriosis had not significantly different. Sex did not affect the level of prevalence. The prevalence of babesiosis is influenced by flies and tick control (p<0.05), while anaplasmosis and theileriosis did not differ significantly. In general, the level of parasitemia increased along with increasing by age. The parasitemia of babesiosis in cow had differently with bull (p<0.05), while anaplasmosis and theileriosis had not significantly different. Percentage parasitemia at various age and sex have the same value that is <1%, which is relatively mild levels of parasitemia.
