Abstract: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is caused by dengue virus. The virus is transmitted to humans through the bites of Aedes aegypti and Ae. albopictus as the primary vector dengue. The aim of this research to observed population dynamics of Aedes spp. mosquito larval related to rainfall index correlated breteau index (BI). This research was conducted in April until July 2012 in DHF endemic area Bantarjati Subdistrict Bogor City. The larval collected in containers indoor and outdoor were 396 containers from 200 households. The result showed that the density of larval population in Bantarjati Subdistrict were belonged to the moderate category according to density figure (DF) in the rate of 2−5 (WHO 1972). Ae. aegypti larval were also found in indoor containers (8.81%) and Ae. albopictus in outdoor containers (34.33%). The BI average was the best indicator to describe the density of larval population. In this research, BI average was significantly correlated (p<0.05) to the rainfall index of Bogor during April−July 2012.
