Abstract: Forest is an important natural resource for human life either directly or indirectly. One of the indirect benefits of forests is carbon sequestration as a result of photosynthetic processof plants that absorb CO2 from the atmosphere. This study was aimed at determining the biomass expansion factor (BEF), biomass conversion and expansion factor (BCEF), and developing allometric biomass models of small diameter (<10cm) pine (Pinus merkusii Jungh. et De Vriese) at Gunung Walat University Forest. Selection of 35 sample trees on each diameter class was carried out by using purposive sampling method. The biomass of each part of sample trees (steams, branches, and leaves) was estimated using destructive sampling. The largest portion of tree biomass contained in the steam (4.76 kg/tree).
