dc.description.abstractThe aim of study is to explain participation of farmers for managing forest, to explain the pattern of relation between farmers and cooperative on forest management which is compared to the pattern of relation between farmers and middlemen, and to explain perception of farmers about the role of forest management on increase total income of farmers. The study used survey method with random sampling for respondents. Total of respondents were 33 respondents; 18 JUN farmers, 12 non-JUN farmers, and 3 respondents of cooperative. Participation of farmers to follow steps of forest management is a factor for affecting the total good trees of farmers. The pattern of relation between farmers and cooperative is single stranded. This relation is defined as single commercial relation and it is also happened between farmers and middlemen. The same relation pattern to cause the positive and negative impact differently for farmers. Perception of farmers included in the category is high (>50%). Forest mangement is able to increase the total income of farmers from wood sale with cooperative and middlemen are as wood buyers.en
