dc.description.abstractHusbandry is one of the agricultural sector which has a potential to be developed. One of the many husbandry commodities grown in Indonesia, especially in West Java is broiler. Similarly with other agribusiness, broiler husbandry also has risk especially production risk which seen from the chicken mortality at each production period. This research objectives are to indentify production risk sources, to analyze the sources’s probability and impacts, and to determine alternative strategy due to reduce the risk probability and impacts. To reach the research objectives, this research use several method such as Z-score and Value at Risk (VaR). Production risk sources at broiler husbandry in Kecamatan Pamijahan are weather, pests and predators, disease, and environmental disorders. According to probability the source which has the biggest probability is pests and predators and the lowest probability is environmental disorders. The biggest impact caused by disease and the lowest impact caused by environmental disorders.en
