Analisis Kelayakan Usaha Ternak Ayam Broiler pada Peternakan Lestari Rizqi Aditya Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau

Abstract

The increasing price of beef leads to increasing demand of the broiler chicken meat. This situation can be seen as an opportunity to develop domestic production of broiler chicken. Lestari Rizqi Aditya (LRA) used this opportunity to establish a boiler poultry business in 2007. This research aims to analyze the feasibility of the LRA and to calculate the incremental net benefit due to the changes of technology. The research was conducted on boiler poultry business of LRA, Kampar District, Riau from February to June 2013. The method of analysis used in this study are a qualitative analysis to analyze the non-financial feasibility such as market, technical, legal, management, social, and environmental aspects, as well as quantitative analysis based on investment criteria, switching value, and incremental net benefit. The result of non financial feasibility analysis showed that LRA is feasible. Financial feasibility analysis showed that LRA is feasible with NPV Rp134 313 210, Net B/C 3.199, IRR 45%, PP 6 years, and the incremental net benefit Rp161 714 109.
