Abstract: Fish meal is one of a decisive factor the quality of artificial fish feed and source of animal protein, some of the fulfillment it was until now is still imports that caused the price more expensive. Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate feed test to the source of fish meal from different raw materials in improving growth performance of sangkuriang catfish Clarias sp. The source of raw materials used is derived from trash fish, salted fish, and head fish that has the potential as one of the local feed raw material. Granting feed test made during the 44 days and fish fed with in ad satiation with the frequency of granting done three times at 08.00 am, 12.00 am, 16.00 pm. Fish test used having biomass as much as 38,49±1,61 g and done maintenance on the aquarium a dimension 60cmx50cmx40cm using recirculation system. The results showed that fish meal derived from trash fish able to replace the commercial fish meal imports this is shown based on the value of performance growth as the number of feed consumption, growth rate daily, long absolute, biomass, retention of proteins, retention of fat, feeding efficiency, feed conversion shows significantly different (P>0.05). However, it doesn’t significantly different on the survival rate of fish (P<0.05). The results of this research show that the use of trash fish meal produce growth best as a source of animal protein that can replace fish meal commercial.
