The technology such as remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) were a great solution for site selection to development seaweed production. The aim of this research is to analyze suitability of the seaweed culture location at Gerupuk Bay, West Nusa Tenggara. The site selection are using Landsat 8 satellite with Surface Temperature of the Sea (SPL), Total Suspended Matter (TSM), and protected location as the parameters. Each parameters are processed using Er Mapper 7.0 software and then Arcview GIS 3.2 software to get the thematic map GIS. After the map’s overlay done, the site selection for seaweed culture could be determined. The results of this study show that the most suitable site for seaweed culture at Gerupuk Bay are 342.44 ha (25.22%), quite suitable site are 190.78 ha (14.05%), and not suitable site are 669.32 ha (49.3%).en
