Abstract: Gastrointestinal nematode are common parasite found in warm-blooded animals, including Macaca fascicularis. Infection transmission of parasitic nematode in M. fascicularis can occur intraspesies and interspesies. The existence of macaque in homesite at Matraman, Jakarta allowing the parasite transmission from monkeys to humans, or vice versa. Free-living macaque’s in Nature Recreational Park of Telaga Warna are used as a benchmark to determine the prevalence of gastrointestinal nematode infection. Identification results of nematode eggs and larvae in monkeys on Matraman showed Strongyloides 66.67%, Trichostrongylus 58.33% Oesophagostomum 50% and hookworm 45.83%. Identification of nematode eggs and larvae in monkeys at Telaga Warna showed Strongyloides 14.29%, Oesophagostomum 19.05%, Trichostrongylus 19.05%, hookworm 14.29%, Trichuris 14.29% and Ascaris 9.52%. Total prevalence of monkeys in Matraman was at 80.95% and in Telaga Warna 52, 38%. Infection prevalence of parasitic nematode in M.fascicularis seattlement area are bigger than the natural habitat.
