Abstract: Research and development of kenaf biocomposite based on kenaf fiber in Acrylonitryle Butadiene Styrene (ABS) polymer matrixs using extrution and hot press method for helmet aplication had been conducted. Ball powder ratio (BPR) varied at 5:1 has been used to synthesize nanoparticle with size of 53.72 nm. Distribution of particle size based on the number of particle within in range 53.72 - 616.76 nm. The values of impact strength of long fiber biocomposites was 20.432 kJ m-2 while nanoparticle biocomposite was 6.4 kj m-2. This quality is due to its microstucture of 16.374 nm crystal size and cubic and monoclinic type of crystal structure. In addition, homogeneous distribution of nanoparticle filler and polymer matrixs have been analyzed using SEM has shown a similiar profile of surface compare to regular ABS polymer.
