Aplikasi Pencari SPBU Terdekat di Area Bogor dengan Location Based Service Berbasis GPS pada Android

Abstract

Nowadays mobile phones are not only used as a means of communication, but also by taking advantage of some features such as the global positioning system (GPS), a mobile phone can be used as a navigational tool from user position to object around the user. Gas station is one of the point of interest (POI), because its location is very useful especially for motorists. This study aimed to build an application of location based services (LBS) in the Bogor area, to display the gas station on the map, to determine the nearest gas station that is located around the user and to display the route to the gas station. The application is built for the Android smartphone, with Java programming language, SQLite as the database storage, GPS to obtain the user's position and Google Maps as the map viewer. From the test conducted, this system has been able to work well and produce correct output.
