Abstract

ISO 14001 is an international standard used for maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS). The goal of this research is to determine the effectiveness of implementation SML ISO 14001 at PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. The research method takes two steps, data collection and studies on the effectiveness of EMS ISO 14001. From the results of the study revealed that The specific environmental aspect of PT Unilever Indonesia are air pollution, solid waste, waste water, and hazardous waste. The specific environmental aspect of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk has been appropriated to the quality standard and the regulatory laws. PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk has been committed to preventing pollution, obeying the rules, and continuous improvement as three fundamental supporting of environmental policy.
