Garut sheep is commonly reared in West Java and usually fed with grass as the main feed and energy source. However, this grass has low quality and seasonally available, therefore should be an alternative feed such as mung bean sprout waste and dried kangkung. This research aimed to study sheep physiology and behavior as a response to diet and environment. This research used nine garut sheep (I0) with three treatments and replicates. The treatments were P0 (50% grass+50% consentrate), P1 (50% mung bean sprout waste+50% concentrate) and P2 (50% dried kangkung+50% concentrate). Physiological response data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and tested by Tukey post test method, while behavior frequency data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis test. Result showed that diet treatment did not affect (P>0.05) the heart and respiration rate, but significantly affected (P<0.05) on rectal temperature. All behaviors parameters were not significantly different (P>0.05) except for resting, grooming, licking strange object, and locomotion were higher in P1 than P0 and P2.en
