dc.description.abstractOne of the developing high values non-timber forest products which have bright prospects now and in the future is gum rosin. The research aims to analyze added value and profitability of gum rosin and turpentine products. Calculation results for the added value analyzes of gum rosin products in 2011 was Rp. 9.566/kg while in 2012 was Rp. 4.673/kg, decreased 51%. Added value of turpentine was Rp. 3.695/kg in 2011 and decreased 42% to Rp. 2.127/kg in 2012. Based on the analysis of profitability the data of Gum Rosin products in 2011 amounted 85%, and in 2012 decreased to 77%. Turpentine products have 47% profitability in 2011, and decreased to 8% in 2012. Decline in added value and profitability of the two products occurred due to lower products prices are influenced by the effects of global competition especially China.en
