Crested serpent eagle is one of the raptor species in Indonesia which has protected by the Indonesian law. The population threatened due to habitat looses caused by forest degradation. The initial step could be done to preserve the species through study of the habitat use based on habitat functions, such as cover and food supply. Beside habitat functions, it was also identified the supporting functions, such as slope, altitude, and distance from source of disturbances in Halimun Salak Corridor, Mount Halimun Salak National Park. The research conducted in April-June 2013 through point count method. Based on field observation, it was identified that habitat function at forest cover can be as resting area and nesting site. The eagle hunted in forest and open area such as horticultural fields, rice fields, and shrubs near the forest. Values of the supporting functions selected by crested serpent eagle was in open area near the forest.en
