Abstract: Sundanese culture is one of the oldest culture in Indonesia. The study of traditional Sundanese garden needs to be done in order to get a real image about traditional Sundanese culture. The objectives of this research are to identify the elements, layout, and interpretation of sundanese garden. This research was obtained through descriptive analysis by field observation and tracing the information of culture and history. The study area are Urug Village, Bogor District; Sindang Barang Village, Bogor District; and Naga Village, Tasikmalaya District. The result of this study showed the spatial order of traditional Sundanese house divided into three parts in according the Tritangtu concept; those are the front or upper part, the central part, and back or under part. Yard of Sundanese house divided into three parts, those are the frontyard (buruan), sideyard (pipir), and the backyard (kebon). The dominant open space is an expanse of land or a grass. The forming elements of traditional sundanese garden are leuit, saung lisung, traditional bathroom (tampian), pond (balong), garden light (obor), cage of hen, and plants.
