Abstract: The research was conducted at Leuwikopo Experimental Field and Plant Breeding Laboratory of IPB, from October 2012 to April 2013. Crossing population between C15 and C2 genotype were used to study resistance genetic parameter for anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum acutatum and quantitative characters in pepper. Twenty mature green pepper fruits from each plant were inoculated by PYK 04 isolate. Experiment result showed that resistance to anthracnose in pepper was controlled by recessive gene. There were no maternal effect for all observed character except fruit length. Broad-sence heritability were high for disease incidence, necrotic diameter, plant height, stem diameter, dichotomous height, days for flowering, days for harvesting; and medium for fruit length and diameter character. Narrow-sence heritability were high for stem diameter, dichotomous height, days for flowering; medium for disease incidence, plant height, days for harvesting; and low for necrotic diameter, fuit length and diameter character. Additive-variance ratio were high for disease incidence, plant height, stem diameter, dichotomous height, and days for flowering; medium for necrotic diameter, days for harvesting, fruit diameter; and low for fruit length character. Producing pepper varieties which are resistance to anthracnose and good yield should be aimed to open pollinated varieties.
