dc.description.abstractCocopeat is a by product of the coconut’s processing, can be used as a planting medium. This research aims to know the water holding capacity of cocopeat used for planting media of forest’s trees. Water holding capacity of cocopeat is 695.4%. Cocopeat has a low dry bulk density of 0.08 g/cm3. Sengon and mahogany planted using cocopeat showing wilt for 25 days and 55 days dry spell, compare with soil media showing wilt for 5 and 15 days.en
