Pelayanan Publik Online: Sistem Online dan SMS Gateway pada Pelayanan Izin Usaha Industri

Abstract

E-government is the use of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) by government in public services. One form of public services is licensing service. In Indonesia, e-government in licensing services at the district/city has not been implemented optimally. The number of licensing agency districts/cities in Indonesia which operates a website is 133 out of 508 districts/cities (26%). In Bogor Regency, e-government, in particular industrial business license is still in the preparatory stage where the website is only used for the delivery of information. Licensing service is still conventional where the applicants must visit licensing agency office to register and apply for a business license and takes 10 working days to produce. This paper explains that the use of information systems are expected to improve the service industrial business license with online system and SMS gateway. The applicant can apply for an industrial business license anytime and anywhere as long as they have Internet access. The files are uploaded and entered into a validation process, technical verification process, processing, and information process. Applicant can check the status of the permit application through SMS gateway service. Online service system is also expected to improve efficiency in the industrial business license service.
