dc.description.abstractShort Message Service (SMS) is a method of text-based communication commonly used by many mobile phone users of its cost and flexibility. Unfortunately, text-based communications require those with good eyesight, leaving behind those with visual impairment, especially low vision people. A number of devices were built exclusively for blind and low vision people to communicate with ease, but cost is often a major drawback. This study developed a mobile application that helps the visually impaired to use the SMS feature on Android uses Waterfall method. This study resulted in an application that allows low vision users in using SMS feature on Android.en
