| dc.description.abstract | Long-tailed macaque is a diurnal nonhuman primate and can be found in various types of vegetation including mangrove forests to mountain forests. The purpose of this research is to identify the population and habitat of Longtailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) in the Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism and surrounding areas, Surabaya. Method of observation population is concentration count and then method of habitat analysis is based on vegetation analysis. The minimum estimation of population size of Long-tailed macaque in the areas was 148 individuals. Sex-ratio of adult macaque was estimatied to be 1 : 2. Macaque population densities was 0,55 individuals/hectare. The Longtailed macaque’s eats are mangrove forest vegetations and animal. There was 9 kind of food, which 7 species of plants and the others species was animals. The macaque has highest tendency for using area in their daily life above the ground (40,54%) and only 29,73% individuals spend the day in bottom of the canopy. | en |
