dc.description.abstract | Transportation activities on the street is on the increase and causing negative impact namely pollution. To overcome this under ideal condition, an approach that can be used as one of the solutions is green spaces such as greenery. Greenery of streetside can decrease pollution on its surrounding areas. The location of this research was Cawang interchange, East Jakarta. There were two objectives which were provided by the research: 1) to measure dust that was adsorbed by the greenery of Cawang interchange and 2) to arrange a planting plan of Cawang interchange greenery. The process of this research consist of several phases e.g. commission, research, analysis, and synthesis. Otherwise, gravimetry method was used to found the full measure of greenery capacity in adsorbing particles (dust). This research showed that Ficus benjamina was the species which has the highest capacity in adsorbing dust beside other three sample species (Mimusoph elengi, Cerbera manghas, and Polyalthia fragrans). Therefore, it was important to consider sort of species, number, and location pattern of the greenery in arranging the planting plan to reduce particles.
