Analisis Kelayakan Usaha Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit PT. Terang Inti Seraya di Provinsi Riau

Abstract

Palm Oil is one of agriculture comodity that has a high demand. Palm oil factories in Riau still have a defisit on its raw material to be processed. The deficit of raw materials could be a business opportunity for oil palm plantations. That opportunity to fulfill the raw material needs was taken by PT. Terang Inti Seraya, Riau. The purpose of this research is to analyze the feasibility of oil palm plantation business in PT. Terang Inti Seraya. The research was conducted at the office of PT Terang Inti Seraya at Pekanbaru and Palm Oil Plantation at Tenayan, Buluh Nipis, and Ujung Batu Rokan. Data analysis method which is used on this research is qualitative and quantitative method. Qualitative analysis is used to analyze feasibility based on non-financial aspect such as market aspect, technical aspect, management and law aspect, and also social and environmental aspect. Quantitative analysis is used to analyze feasibility of financial aspect based on investment criteria and switching value analysis. The result of this feasibility analysis shows that palm oil plantation business in PT. Terang Inti Seraya is feasible to run.
