This study tried to see the growing influence of mobile phone users as an identifier of economic growth to the growth of the agricultural sector. This study based on research conducted in several countries, such as India and Bangladesh, which analyzed the growth influence of mobile phone users on the economic growth and growth in the agricultural sector. Therefore the relationship between economic growth and growth in the agricultural sector in Indonesia can be identified. This study used secondary data sourced from PT. Telkom and the BPS, which is analyzed using econometric methods, using multiple regression models. The study result showed that in the period of 1990-2010 there is an indication of negative and significant relationship between the growth of phone users and the growth of agricultural sector, the explanation of this condition is that the use of mobile phones has not been geared for business, especially in the agricultural sector. The use of mobile phones for communication purpose is more for personal purposes. Associated with the agribusiness system, it is necessary to empower the farming community to use their mobile phone as a means in business processes.en
